Rangblang, South West Khasi Hills: Miscreants set ablaze the vehicle belonging to Bah Ferdinand Syiemiong, Acting Syiem of the Nobosohphoh Syiemship, reducing it to ashes on the night of August 25, 2025, while it was parked by the roadside at Rangblang village.
Speaking to the press, Bah Ferdinand disclosed that this was not the first time his vehicle had been targeted. On a previous occasion, unidentified individuals had vandalized his car by damaging its headlights.
Expressing grief over the repeated attacks, the Acting Syiem appealed to those responsible to come forward and explain their actions.
“What wrong have I committed that they should destroy my vehicle in this manner?” he asked, calling for peace and understanding within the community.
Authorities have yet to confirm if an investigation has been launched into the incident.
