Visakhapatnam, March, 9: Saint‑Gobain India Pvt. Ltd. – Gyproc Business has commissioned India’s first near-net zero gypsum ceiling tiles manufacturing plant in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant step toward sustainable construction and low-carbon manufacturing in the country.
The facility, developed by the company’s Gyproc division, reinforces its commitment to the Make in India vision while strengthening its ability to meet the growing demand for high-performance ceiling solutions across India.
The near-net zero plant has been designed to minimise carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency, aligning with global sustainability goals and the company’s long-term strategy of promoting environmentally responsible building materials.
“This investment strengthens our manufacturing footprint in India and enables us to scale low-carbon ceiling solutions closer to key markets.
