Shillong, Oct 3: Newly appointed Governor of Meghalaya, Ganga Prasad will be administered oath of office and secrecy at the Raj Bhavan here on Thursday at 4 pm.

Meghalaya High Court Chief Justice, Dinesh Maheshwari will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Governor.
Prasad, who was the BJP leader in Bihar, was first elected as Member of Legislative Council (MLC) in Bihar in 1994 and held the position for 18 years.
Prasad will replace Banwarilal Purohit, who was the Governor of Assam, and held additional charge as the Governor of Meghalaya.
Purohit has been appointed as the new Governor of Tamil Nadu.
