Shillong,Oct 9: India Meteorological Department has issued severe weather warning for 09-13 October, 2017 as below:

09 October (Day 1):♦ Heavy to very heavy rain at a few places with isolated extremely heavy falls very likely over Gangetic West Bengal and heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places over Jharkhand and Odisha; heavy at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Konkan & Goa, Telangana, Rayalaseema, North Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu & Puducherry.

Squally wind speed reaching upto 45­55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph very likely along & off West Bengal and north Odisha Strong wind 30­40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph also very likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and north Odisha.
Fishermen are advised not to venture along & off West Bengal and north Odisha coasts.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu & Puducherry. Thunderstorm accompanied with Gusty winds and lightning very likely at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura

10 October (Day 2):♦ Heavy to very heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal and heavy over Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Assam & Meghalaya, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, Telangana, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka.

Strong wind speed reaching 30­40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph very likely over Gangetic West Bengal, east Jharkhand and north Odisha.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Karnataka, Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu & Puducherry.
Fishermen are advised not to venture along & off West Bengal and north Odisha coasts.

11 October (Day 3):♦ Heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Bihar, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Konkan & Goa.

12 October (Day 4):♦ Heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Konkan & Goa..

13 October(Day 5): Heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura. (PIB)
