AMPSTA donates Rs 1 lakh to CMRF, nearly Rs 8 crore contributed

Shillong May 05: School teachers from three district associations under the banner of All Meghalaya Primary School Teachers’ Association (AMPSTA) has donated one lakh rupees to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

This was handed over to the Chief Minister in his office chamber on Monday.
AMPSTA general secretary, F. C. Shullai said that the relief was collected from members of AMPSTA as part of helping the state government in the fight against COVID-19.
“The AMPSTA felt that it is their duty to help and be a part in the government cause. The Association also sends a message with prayer that the Almighty God will shower His Blessing upon the Chief Minister, his colleagues and all the MLAs/MDCs and those who generously contribute to the CMRF fund for the purpose of the fight against COVIC-19 in the state,” Shullai said.
The AMPSTA also prayed for doctors, nurses, health department staff and others who are rendering their services and have done tremendous job in servi g those in need of help and healthcare.
On his twitter handle, chief minister Conrad K Sangma thanked all those who have contributed to the CMRF.
“Total contribution to Meghalaya CMRF as on 4th May at 9.12PM is Rs 7,95,11,498. Total expenditure till now is Rs 4.5 crore (purchase of 25 ambulances for NHM). Balance is Rs 3,45,11,498,” the chief minister said.
