Shillong, Oct 26: The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong invites applications from the citizens of Meghalaya for the Meghalaya Day “U Kiang Nangbah award for excellence in Sports and Games” which will be awarded on the Meghalaya Day Celebration on the 21st January, 2019.

Nominations may be made by: (i) providing a descriptive sketch of the principal activities, attainments and contributions in the field of sports and games, which justify the award; (ii) if a person was recommended earlier for multiple times, such individuals need not be nominated again; (iii) nominated individual should enjoy good reputation and respectability in their fields of activity and have not come in for adverse notice or public criticism for any lapse in their social or professional conduct; (iv) biodata along with the citation of achievements as per prescribed format (available in the office) may be submitted alongwith detail achievements/contributions.

Scheme details and biodata format may be collected from the Office of the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong which should be submitted on or before 16th November, 2018.
