Shillong, Jan 25: BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai met Union Minister of Sports and youth affairs, Kiren Rijiju at his New Delhi residence and apprised him of the political developments of the state.

Shullai also urged more support to the state which will host the National Games 2022 as the image of the state is at stake.

This would include development of the Shillong Cantonment Ground for national games 2022 and also for the welfare of the civilians residing in shillong cantonment area.

The MLA also urged Rijiju to organize youth development programmes to be funded by the Central government.

In this regard various stake holders of the society and social welfare and sports club will be involved for implementation of such programes where the local youth can be mobilized.

The BJP MLA further urged the Union minister to support a programme to connect job providers with job seekers so that the local youth can benefit from such inititiative.

The MLA has sought the party’s support to organise the youth development programme in South Shillong constituency as a beginning of the initiative.
