Shillong, Feb 02 :The BJP on Friday announced the list of 45 candidates for the upcoming elections to the 60 member Meghalaya assembly scheduled to be held on February 27.
Among other candidates included in the list are former Congress minister A.L.Hek (Pynthorumkhrah), former Deputy Speaker Sanbor Shullai (South Shillong) former Parliamentary Secretaries Justine Dkhar and Robinus Syngkon from Khliehriat and Mokaiaw assembly constituencies respectively.
Former United Democratic Party minister R.L.Tariang and former Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement Draison Kharshiing has also been allotted party ticker Amlarem and Nartaing assembly seat respectively.
The Hindu-nationalist party also ticket to two women candidates – Marian Maring from Nongpoh and Pelcy Snaitang from Ranikor assembly constituency
