Shillong, Dec 5: The dead body of a 24-year-old woman was found near Umshyrpi stream in the city.

Confirming this on Wednesday, SP (City) S.A. Rynjah said, the deceased has been identified as Diviya Sarki, a resident of Nongmensong Dong Lumshyiap. Reportedly, Sarki has gone missing from her residence since November 30.

The SP said that though the victim was suspected to have been raped, police are waiting for a post mortem report. Investigation is also on.
