Shillong, Aug 17: The body of an air hostess, Clara Bansharai Khongsit who died in Kolkata arrived here on Thursday evening.

Family members said that the funeral will be held on Friday.
The body reached the residence at Lumparing at around 7 pm.
When media persons sought to know whether they suspect any foul play in connection with Clara’s death, Anthony Khongsit who is the brother the deceased said that the family cannot say anything now.
He also requested the media to bear with the family.

Clara was found dead on Wednesday morning on a lane near a four-storey building at AC-49 Prafulla Kanan, where she stayed.
Kolkata police have registered a case of “unnatural death.”

Police said that Clara who worked as flight attendant with IndiGo airline.

Police in Kolkata said that Clara had gone for a birthday party on Tuesday along with her friends and returned home at night.

Police are investigating into Clara’s death to ascertain whether she really fell down through a window of her apartment, or somebody had pushed her.

However police stated that Clara’s two friends were unaware of the tragedy until they were woken up by a police team repeatedly knocking on the door to the apartment.
Police have also questioned Clara’s friends in this regard.
