Shillong, Aug 2: A retired school principal and former leader of the Garo Students Union (GSU) will contest as Congress candidates in the bye elections to South Tura and Ranikor Assembly constituencies slated for August 23.

The Congress said that former Principal of Tura Government Public School Charlotte W. Momin, is the candidate who will contest against Chief Minister, Conrad Kongkal Sangma from South Tura while former GSU leader, Jackuish K. Sangma is the party candidate from Ranikor.

Former MLA of South Tura, John Leslee K. Sangma is contesting as Independent from South Tura.
