Shillong Feb 9: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday questioned Kolkata police commissioner, Rajeev Kumar for eight hours in connection with the alleged chit fund scam.
Kumar was brought to Shillong from Kolkata on Friday, and the CBI will again question him on Sunday.
Kumar was questioned since 10.45 am, sources said.
Security at the CBI office at Oakland here was tightened and personnel of the Special Force (SF)-10 of the Meghalaya Police were deployed there.
Meanwhile, former MP of the Trinamool Congress, Kunal Ghosh who was also summoned by the CBI has arrived in Shillong, it was not sure if he would be also questioned on Sunday.
Ghosh was also arrested in November 2013 in connection with the alleged Saradha and Rose Valley chit fund scams, but he was granted interim bail by the Calcutta High Court in 2016.
