Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court takes oath

Shillong, Feb 12: Newly appointed Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court, Justice Tarun Agarwala took the oath of office and secrecy here on Monday.

Justice Agarwala was sworn in by Meghalaya Governor, Ganga Prasad at the Raj Bhavan here in the presence of Chief Secretary, Y. Tsering, Director General of Police, S.B. Singh, Meghalaya High Court judge Justice S. R. Sen and other senior state government officials.

Justice Agarwala was the judge at the Allahabad High Court prior to this.

Justice Agarwala, succeeded Justice Dinesh Maheshwari who has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.
