Shillong, Mar 28: Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday held a brief meeting with officials and discussed measures to be taken up by the State government for hosting of National Games in the State in 2022.
The Chief Minister held this meeting after a Host City Contract on National Games was handed over to him by Sports Minister, Banteidor Lyngdoh in the presence of officials of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association and Sports department officials.
The Chief Minister said that National Games 2022 should be taken up with an agenda to facelift sport infrastructure, build tourism and market the State’s potentialities, and develop sports culture in Meghalaya.
