Condolences pour in over demise of KHADC member from Langrin

Shillong, Oct 29: The United Democratic Party (UDP) on Tuesday condoled the demise of its sitting to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) from Langrin constituency, Nassar Marweiñ.

Marweiñ passed away at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institution of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) on Monday, after brief illness.

During the condolence meeting attended by UDP leaders and MDCs to pay respect to the departed soul, UDP working president and member of district council from Jaïaw, Paul Lyngdoh termed the sudden death of the sitting MDC a big loss to the party.

Condolences also poured in from all quarters. The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee expressed profound grief and sorrow at the demise of Marweiñ and prayed for eternal repose of the departed soul.

While conveying condolences to the bereaved family, the Meghalaya PCC prayed to the Almighty to grant solace and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

The Meghalaya State Co-ordination Committee of Coal Owners, Miners, Exporters, Transporters & Dealer’s Forum, also mourned the untimely death of Marweiñ, who is one of the Forum’s prominent members.

Marweiñ was also the President of the Meghalaya Mines Owners & Exporters Association.

The Forum offered its condolences to the bereaved family members.

A condolence meeting with observation of two minutes silence was also held at Shillong to pray for the demised member, so that his soul to rest in eternal peace.
