Congress MDC likens Youth Congress president who joins NPP to “rotten apples”

Shillong, Oct 24: Congress member in GHADC from Boldamgre constituency, Stevie Marak on Tuesday claimed that Ampati Assembly Youth Congress president Dipu Koch, who had joined the NPP, had been expelled from the party and likened him to “rotten apples.”

Marak who is the Tura Lok Sabha Youth Congress secretary in-charge South West Garo Hills, said that Koch was not the president of Ampati Assembly Youth Congress when he left the party.

“In fact, we had already expelled Dipu Koch from the Youth Congress for his anti party activities and his deplorable personal life which only served to malign the image of the party and was detrimental to the other members. He was neither an asset to the party nor is he a contributing member of the society. His actions are only of self interest. I am glad that rotten apples like him (Dipu Koch) are leaving the party. One less weak link makes the party stronger,” Marak said.
