Shillong, Aug 09: The death toll due to coronavirus in Meghalaya on Monday rose to 1174 after it reported a fresh 11 fatalities, the health department said in a bulletin.
East Khasi Hills district alone recorded highest death due to coronavirus till date with 822 deaths .
The state has 4,734 active Covid-19 cases with 187 fresh positive cases.
Meanwhile, the state also records 479 new recovered cases in last 24 hours, with this the total recovered cases reaches 63,450.
