Shillong, 1 Apr 20: Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) CEM Titosstarwell Chyne informed that Rs 10 lakh to each MDC will be sanctioned to help the people during this lockdown. He said that this will enable the MDCs to help the affected families in their respective constituency. “The amount will be released from the MDC scheme and this will ensure that relief is provided to such affected families,”

The KHADC has 30 members including one nominated member. ” many people have started approaching the members for help as some of them do not have money to buy rice and other essential commodities,” Chyne said.
