Shillong,July 13: A two day District Level Industrial Exhibition was organised on Thursday by the office of the General Manager District Commerce & Industries Centre, East Khasi Hills District at All Saints Hall.
DCIC General Manager R.Majaw said this exhibition is an excellent platform for the local artisans to showcase their talent besides selling their products. Local artisans are also being sent to Delhi for an exhibition as there is no forum for exposure on their products, this way they exchange their ideas and products b besides making relationships. Marketing channels are open from outside the state also and products are demanded in bulk.
Would like to call upon the youth and young entrepreneur of the state to come out and showcase their talent as the government is also floating a lots of scheme,Majaw said.
Sales of the exhibits produced by the local micro, small and medium enterprises of the district are being displayed. The prominent handicrafts products being showcase include gift items made by bamboo and cane, souvenir, traditional jewellery, jute Bag, Fruit wine, and household products and many more new products.
