Shillong, Sept 1: In a move aimed at expanding global employment opportunities for the youth of Meghalaya, Don Bosco Youth Centre (DBYC), Shillong, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emporium Training & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. (ETCPL).
Established as one of the oldest training centres in the state, DBYC has long been associated with youth empowerment and skill development. Over the years, it has successfully trained and placed hundreds of students in reputed organizations, remaining a trusted institution for young job seekers.
ETCPL, accredited by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Skill India International, specializes in professional training for aviation, luxury hospitality, and international cruise line careers. Since its founding in 2007, the institute has facilitated employment for more than one lakh youth globally, with a notable presence in Northeast India.
Under the new partnership, ETCPL will provide specialized training at DBYC Shillong to prepare candidates for careers as cabin crew, airport ground staff, five-star hotel professionals, and international cruise line employees. Placement opportunities will be extended across more than 20 countries, offering young people from Meghalaya access to international career pathways.
The first batch of training in Shillong is scheduled to begin in September 2025. Interested candidates can contact the ETCPL office located at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
The collaboration marks a milestone in bridging local talent with global opportunities, reinforcing DBYC’s role as a hub for youth development and employment readiness.
