Shillong, June 27: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that idea of ‘give and take’ policy to resolve the inter-state boundary dispute between Meghalaya and Assam should be again discussed.

“Once the meeting of chief ministers of both the states is held, we will again talk about this give and take policy,” Tynsong told reporters here.

He said that if both the states keep on fighting, there will be no end to the problem.

“I don’t see any solution (to the problem) until and unless we agree to the idea of give and take be it Assam or Meghalaya,” Tynsong said.

The Meghalaya government had already submitted documents to Assam to support its claim over the 12 areas of difference.
