Shillong , July 18: The election to the post of deputy chairman of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) will be held on July 20.

The ruling Khasi Hills Democratic Alliance (KHDA) is fielding UDP member from Mairang, Equator Nongrang in the election to the post.

Sources informed that the PDF-led People Democratic Alliance (PDA) is yet to decide on the matter.

It may be mentioned here that the post of deputy chairman in the Council has been lying vacant for the past two years.
