Shillong, Apr 29: The Meghalaya Cabinet on Wednesday decided to extend the time for filing of returns, clearing of taxes for dealers of petrol and petroleum products.

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the Cabinet took this decision following request from the traders that due to the nation-wide lockdown annthese they could not file their returns by March 31.

Now the traders have to file their returns by May 15 as the extension has been approved by the state cabinet.
