Shillong, Dec 2: One cadre of the banned GNLA cadre has surrendered before BSF at Tura.

A statement issued by the BSF here on Saturday, said that after continuous persuasion and regular motivation by the BSF intelligence team from Shillong, the GNLA cadre, David Ch Marak from East Khasi Hills laid arms to join the mainstream before BSF during a surrender ceremony orgazised at 58Bn Tura .

He surrendered along with one 7.62 mm Sniper Rifle (China Made), 106 live rounds and one magazine. He had been in active militancy with GNLA in Meghalaya since 2015 in the area of West Khasi Hills and South Garo Hills District.
