GOC in-Chief Eastern Command meets Meghalaya Governor, Chief Minister

Shillong Jan 10: General Officer Commanding in Chief of Eastern Command, Lieutenant General, Manoj Mukund Naravane called on Meghalaya Governor, Tathagata Roy and Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma and discussed various issues including security issue.

The GOC-in-C discussed a number of issues with the Governor including internal security and empowerment of Ex-servicemen of Meghalaya.

After meeting theGovernor, the GOC-in-C also called on the Chief Minister and discussed various issues including Internal Security and Disaster Management.

He assured the Chief Minister of continued and enhanced Civil-Military interaction and cooperation in future.

The GOC-in-C was accompanied by Lieutenant General DS Ahuja, General Officer Commanding, 101 Area.

The Eastern Army Commander was in Shillong to visit and review the operational preparedness of Headquarters 101 Area. During his visit, the Army Commander was also briefed at Headquarters Eastern Air Command and Directorate General of Assam Rifles.
