“The Northeast region had witnessed a lot of disturbances in the past, but fortunately the region has been relatively quite peaceful during the past few years. Gradually, people have developed vested interest in peace in the region. You have the responsibility to ensure peace remains, and people’s belief and trust in peace continues, for that is where the key to development lies,” the IB chief said.

Stating that police service is for the society and nation, Jain asked the young police officers to utilise all knowledge and skills that have been equipped with during the training and implement the laws for protecting the victims and take action against those who violate the laws.
