Shillong, Aug 1: The press fraternity in Meghalaya on Wednesday mourned the demise of young journalist, Darikynti Uriah.

Uriah passed away in a private hospital here, after a brief period of illness.

Conveying its condolences, the Shillong Press Club expressed anguish and pain at the sudden loss of the member.

“Words will never be enough to express the loss and we sincerely pray that the departed soul rests in everlasting peace. The Shillong Press Club extends its deepest condolences to all loved ones of Dari whom we all call fondly and pray that the Almighty grant them solace at this darkest moment of bereavement,” said a statement issued by Shillong Press Club president, David Laitphlang and general secretary, Powell Sohkhlet.
