Shillong Jan 6:
Journalists who waited to post questions to home minister, James K Sangma on some issues had to face his anger after the minister avoided taking questions as he came out of his office chamber in the main secretariat on Monday evening.

It was around 5.30 pm that the minister came out of his chamber when eight waiting journalists approached him with a request to speak to them for few minutes.

The waiting journalists greeted the minister happy New Year, after which, the minister equally greeted when he came out of his chamber.

When one of the senior journalist tried to hold his hands in a friendly manner as he greeted the minister, the scene turned unpleasant as the minister pushed the journalist and accused of trying to block his way.

“What the hell are you doing? Why are you blocking my way like that?” the minister angrily reacted as he walked few steps down to go to down floors.

Seeing the unwelcome behavior of the home minister, the senior journalist clarified that nobody was blocking the way and reacted, “Who the hell you think of yourself? Who are you?”

The home minister then climbed up the steps and tried to come face to face with the senior journalist and asked the journalist, “what is your problem?”

The personal assistant stood in between the home minister and the journalists while security personnel were also standing guard of the minister.

The journalist clarified that there was no intention to block the home minister’s way saying, “I only want to ask some questions, but I am not blocking your way. If I blocked you, you have your guards.”

But the home minister attempted to move close to the journalist and repeatedly asked him, “what is your problem ….?

Later the minister left along with his personal assistant and security guards.
