Shillong, Mar 03: Senior police officer, M Kharkrang has been appointed as Inspector General of Prison.

A notification in this regard was issued by Commissioner & Secretary in-charge Personnel & AR (A) department, R Lyngdoh on Tuesday.

Kharkrang who is also the nominated IPS officer, is posted as inspector general of Prison, Meghalaya with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.”

Joint Secretary in-charge Power, DCA departments and Inspector General of Prison is relieved of her functions as Inspector General of Prison, with effect from the date of handing over charge.
