Shillong, September 18, 2025 – The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has announced a 15-member squad and five standbys for the first two matches of the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season. Prolific batter Kishan Lyngdoh will continue to lead the side, with pacer Akash Kumar Chaudhary named vice-captain.
The team will be guided by head coach Moisten Ch Marak, while Ajay Duhan has been retained as one of Meghalaya’s BCCI-approved guest professionals. Rahul Dalal, a seasoned batter from Haryana with prior experience representing Arunachal Pradesh, has joined the squad as the second guest player.
Meghalaya, placed in the plate group alongside Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Manipur, and Mizoram, will play their opening match against Mizoram from October 15 and the second against Sikkim from October 25. Both fixtures will be held in Shillong. The top two teams from the round-robin stage will advance to the plate group final.
Preparations will begin with a training camp scheduled from September 27 to October 11 in Shillong. Players and support staff from outside Shillong have been asked to report by September 26.
