Shillong, April 6: Renowned musician Lou Majaw has once again demonstrated his commitment to nurturing young talent by gifting an electric keyboard to Dakameai Lyngdoh Marbaniang, a visually impaired musician from Smit.

Dakameai, who has been living without sight since birth, is currently staying at Bethany Society, an institution dedicated to supporting persons with disabilities. Despite her visual impairment, she has exhibited exceptional musical ability and a strong passion for playing the keyboard.

The instrument was presented through the Lou Majaw Foundation as part of Majaw’s continued efforts to encourage and empower aspiring musicians. Over the years, Majaw has been actively supporting young artists by providing musical instruments, particularly guitars, to help them pursue their artistic ambitions.

The occasion was marked by a memorable musical collaboration, as Dakameai joined Majaw in performing Blowin’ in the Wind by Bob Dylan. The duet, blending keyboard and guitar, captivated those present and symbolized the transformative power of music.

The gesture is expected to further motivate Dakameai in her musical journey while reinforcing the message that talent and determination can overcome physical limitations.
