Shillong, May 21: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has sought action against a website for declaring a fake result of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination 2019.
The website http://files.nvshg.org has released a fake result of the SSLC examination 2019 by copying the last year’s result declared by the Board. The declaration of the said fake result has created confusion among the students, parents, teachers including authorities of the Board, who also clarified there was no leakage of the board’s result.
“We will immediately seek action against people involved in creating the website and for declaring the fake results,” MBOSE Joint Director, M Marbaniang said.
He said a complaint will be lodged with the cyber crime cell of the state police for investigation and taking action as per law.
Urging the people not to fall prey to such fake news, Marbaniang however informed that the board is yet to decide the date for declaring the results of the two examinations (SSLC and HSSLC (arts).
Earlier, rumours have been spread that the results of the two examinations will be declared on May 21, while the website that the declared the fake results announced that the results would be declared on May 25.
