Shillong, April 2026: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Monday announced the results of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination 2026, with students across the state showcasing commendable academic performance.

Topping the state this year is Wanraal Lama of Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School, Shillong, who secured an outstanding 585 marks, bringing pride to both the institution and the city.

1st Position: Wanraal Lama (Gorkha Pathshala HSS, Shillong) – 585 marks
2nd Position: Vishal Kumar (Embee Rosebud HSS, Tura) – 576 marks
3rd Position (Joint): Prajukta Roy & Prinita Das – 575 marks each

School-wise Performance Highlights

Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School, Shillong emerged as the top-performing institution this year, producing the state topper and reinforcing its reputation for academic excellence.

Embee Rosebud Higher Secondary School, Tura also delivered a strong performance, securing the second rank in the state.

Notably, schools from Shillong, Tura, and regions such as Jowai featured prominently in the merit list, reflecting a balanced and encouraging academic trend across Meghalaya.
