MCA Announces 15-Member Squad for Senior Women’s T20 Trophy

Shillong, Sept 16, 2025: The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has announced its 15-member senior women’s squad for the upcoming BCCI Senior Women’s T20 Trophy (Plate Group), scheduled to take place in Agartala, Tripura, from October 8.

Star all-rounder Debasmita Dutta will lead the team, with Daiaka E Warjri named vice-captain. The support staff, all drawn from within Meghalaya, will be headed by Mackie D Blah as head coach.

The Plate Group will feature other North East teams — Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur — with the top two from the group stage progressing to the plate final.

Meghalaya’s preparatory camp will run from September 21 to October 5 at Nongkhrah, Nongpoh. The players, five standbys, and support staff will report on September 20. Players from Khasi-Jaintia Hills will assemble in Shillong and travel together to Nongpoh, while players from Garo Hills will proceed directly to the venue.

With a balanced mix of experienced players and promising talent, the Meghalaya team will be aiming to finish among the top two and qualify for the plate final.
