Shillong,Oct 6: A senior employee of a government owned Mawmluh Cherra Cements Limited (MCCL) was arrested for his alleged involvement in raping a 9-year-old mentally challenged girl on Thursday.
Lumlang Nongbri, who is working as the Senior Mining Supervising in the MCCL, was arrested from his residence at Nongthymmai yesterday, SP (City) Vivek Syiem said here.
Syiem however said that Nongbri have been admitted in the Shillong Civil Hospital after he complaint of health problems when the police was about to produced him before the Court.
Asked, he informed that the victim and her family were neighbour of Nongbri. They are staying in the same building as tenants.
