“Our secretary was not there and some other members not there and we couldn’t take it forward. Hopefully in the next meeting we will be able to take it forward,†he said.
The MDA government is six-party coalition which comprised of the National People’s Party (NPP) which is leading the government, UDP, HSPDP, PDF, BJP NCP, and Independents.
Informing that the issue related to the upcoming South-Tura bye-election was also discussed during the meeting, Sangma said, “I as the candidate for the seat I had officially appealed to all our coalition partners to extend their support to my candidature.â€
“All the coalition partners have extended their support but there are few who are still discussing with their regional members as some of the parties and local leaders have expressed their desire to contest the elections which is natural. I will be meeting them to discuss and appeal them to support us in this election,†the Chief Minister said.
