Shillong Aug 7: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Wednesday visited his adopted School – Shohphria Government L. P. School, Nongstoiñ in West Khasi Hills district.

Tourism Minister, Metbah Lyngdoh and Nongstoiñ MLA, Macmillan Byrsat accompanied the Chief Minister.

Earlier this year, the Chief Minister had adopted the School and sanctioned one and half month salary amounting to Rs. 3 lakh for renovating the school.

During the visit, he interacted with students of the School and teachers and assured to improve the functioning of the School with better facilities.

He also urged other Ministers, MLAs and bureaucrats to follow suit by adopting any school and improve its infrastructure.
