Shillong Dec 22: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma visited industrial units at Byrnihat in Ri-Bhoi district including beer bottling plant on Saturday.

The Chief Minister visited the industrial units basically to understand whether industries adhered to the environmental norms and other necessary compliances that required for their operations.

Industries Minister, Sniawbhalang Dhar, Jirang MLA, Sosthenes Sohtun and other officials accompanied the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister inspected some of the industrial units which include the CMJ Breweries, Megha Cashew, Kingfisher bottling plant, Savam American Strong Beer and other units.
