Shillong, Jan 19: People would soon be able to air their grievances directly to Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma through Whatsapp.

On Meghalaya Day, the Chief Minister will launch the ‘Chief Minister’s Whatsapp based Public Grievance Redress Mechanism’ in his office chamber, Main Secretariat on Monday.

Meghalaya will celebrate its statehood day on Monday (21 January) across the state, and a state level function will be held at U Soso Tham auditorium here in which the Chief Minister will attend as chief guest in the presence of Information and Public Relations Minister, A.L. Hek guest of honour.

Meghalaya was declared a full-fledged state by carving out of Assam on January 21, 1972.
