Shillong July 7: Meghalaya detected 6 more new COVID-19 positive cases on Tuesday  taking the number of active  positive cases to 50 .

The fresh cases detected are 5 from East Khasi Hills District including 1 BSF personnel, and 1 from Ri-Bhoi, 2 Air Force  who came from Karnataka, USA, Rajasthan, Kolkata have tested positive in Shillong.

The number of active cases has gone up to 50, taking the total tally in the state is 95, out of which 43 recovery cases and two have died (the first COVID-19 patient and eight months old baby from Arunachal Pradesh, who tested positive for COVID 19 at NEIGRIHMS )
