Jaipur, October 8, 2025: The Committee on Estimates of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, led by Shri Mayralborn Syiem, MLA and Chairman, held an interactive meeting with the Committee on Estimates of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in Jaipur on Tuesday as part of its ongoing study tour.
The meeting aimed to facilitate the exchange of insights and best practices related to the functioning, roles, and procedures of the respective Committees. Discussions centered on enhancing financial oversight, strengthening administrative reforms, and improving mechanisms for monitoring government expenditure. Both Committees also shared their experiences on how legislative bodies can ensure accountability, transparency, and good governance.
The Meghalaya delegation included Smti Miani D. Shira, Shri Remington G. Momin, Shri Damanbait Lamare, and Shri Gabriel Wahlang, alongside the Chairman.
The Rajasthan Committee was represented by Shri Arjun Lal Jeengar (Chairman) and Members Shri Amit Chauhan, Shri Arjun Lal, Shri Arjun Singh Bamaniya, Shri Gurveer Singh, Shri Chhotu Singh, Shri Jeevaram Choudhary, Shri Pratap Singh Singhvi, Shri Manoj Kumar, Shri Shanti Dhariwal, Shri Samaram, and Shri Harendra Mirdha.
As part of the visit, the Meghalaya delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. The interaction served as a valuable platform to strengthen inter-legislative cooperation and reinforce the role of legislative committees in promoting financial discipline and effective governance.
