Shillong, Feb 16: The Meghalaya government will table the report of the expert committee on the State Reservation Policy during the ongoing Budget Session of the Assembly for consideration.

Announcing the decision after a Cabinet meeting on Monday, Cabinet Minister Wailadmiki Shylla said the Cabinet has approved the proposal to place the report before the House.

“The cabinet has approved the proposal for consideration of the report… it will be tabled on Wednesday on the floor of the House,” Shylla told reporters.

However, the minister declined to disclose details of the report ahead of its formal presentation in the Assembly.

“Until before that, I cannot say anything,” he said.
