Shillong, Dec 19: A team of Karatekas from Meghalaya bagged five gold, 10 silver and 27 bronze medals in the recently concluded North East Karate Championship, 2018 at Dimapur in Nagaland.
The championship was held at the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School Shukovi, Dimapur from December 10 to 12.

The All Meghalaya Karate– Do Association has sent 53 Karatekas who participated in the tournament.

The team was accompanied by Arjun Sewa (Coach), Mingson Rymbai (Coach), Albertstar Kharkongor (Manager), Edilbert A. Lyndem (Manager), Donboklang Lyngdoh (Technical Official) and Damang Syngkon (Technical Official).

Altogether 370 karatekas from the eight North Eastern States, Assam Rifles and Arunachal Police participated in the said Championship.
