Shillong Apr 2: The Meghalaya police have set up COVID-19 control room to render necessary assistance to the general public.

Assistant Inspector General of Police (A) GK Iangrai in a statement issued on Thursday said that the State Police COVID-19 control room will function round the clock to render necessary assistance to the general public.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Trg & L&O), H Toi has been appointed as the nodal officer of the State Police COVID-19 control room who would be assisted by SP (EOW) Herbert G Lyngdoh and SP (Anti-Infil Dte), Vivek Syiem.

The public can contact the control room at 03642215705 and 03642226022.

In addition to the control room, a nodal police officer for each district has also been appointed to assist the public in need of assistance.
