Shillong, October 22: The Meghalaya Sub-Junior Boys football team is gearing up for its first match of the Sub-Junior Boys National Football Championship (Tier 2) against Chhattisgarh on 26 October in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh.
Meghalaya has been drawn into Group C alongside hosts Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. The competition format allows only the top team from each of the four groups to qualify for the semifinals, raising the stakes for every fixture.
The 20-member Meghalaya squad, accompanied by its support staff, departed for Narainpur on Monday with determination to make their mark on the national stage.
Dapmon Tariang will lead the coaching staff as head coach, supported by assistant coach Teibor Dohling, manager Kmenlang Shylla, and physiotherapist Elderson Warbah.
