Meghalaya women rescued Online Sex Racket Busted, BJP Leader Arrested

BhopaL, May 20: Meghalaya women rescued from Online Sex Racket Busted in Bhopal . While nine men, including three customers, were arrested following a raid on the two flats on late Thursday night, four women in search of jobs from Maharashtra, Meghalaya and Panna (MP) were also rescued.

The gang members lured girls–mostly from other states including Noth East, with the promise of jobs and later threw them into prostitution racket.

The Cyber Cell had got information about the sex racket after it received complaint about a pornographic website that was being used to contact those who solicited sex workers

The arrested men (aged between 20 and 40 years), include Dinesh alias David Singh, Suresh Gahlot, Ravi Prajapati, Harjit Dhanwani, Manoj Kumar Gupta, KK Jaiswal, Suresh Belani, Miswauddin and Neeraj Shakya, said SP (Cyber Cell Bhopal) Shailendra Chouhan.

Neeraj Shakya (33), a resident of Narela area here, was appointed as State media in-charge of the ruling BJP’s scheduled caste (SC) cell in Bhopal.
The Madhya Pradesh state Bhartiya Janta Party unit has expelled the state media coordinator of its scheduled caste cell after he was arrested by the cyber cell of the Bhopal Police for allegedly running a sex racket.

According to the police, Shakya and the gang used to call girls to Bhopal by assuring them jobs and then push them into prostitution.
TARGET WAS NORTH-EASTERN GIRLS.

The modus operandi of the gang members was such that they tracked girls who applied on job sites. They would contact the girls and offer them job of receptionist or a job at the call centre. (source)
