Shillong, Nov 22: A youth from Meghalaya, Pynshaitbor Bareh has lodged a complaint that he has been cheated by his instructor at Sky World Aviation Services (SWAS), Philippines.
Bareh said that after his schooling from All India Institute of Aeronautics, Dehradun his instructor Capt. Saurav Shahi informed that he was employed in Sky World Aviation Services (SWAS), Philippines and invited him to continue his Pilot Training Course in the said Academy and advised him to avail education Loan.

The family of the complainant (Bareh) then availed loan of Rs. 18 lakh from the Meghalaya Rural Bank, Rymbai Branch and the same was transferred to Sky World Group Aviation Bank of Philippines.

Bareh joined the said Academy in December 2014, but Capt Shahi took him to Aero Equipt Aviation Inc. But on being convinced by Capt. Shahi, Bareh joined the training.
Later, Bareh faced problem related to tuition fees in the Academy and his training was stopped in between.
When he enquired about the Academy from the Civil Aviation Authority of Philippines (CAAP), it was ascertained that the Academy was not fully authorized to conduct Pilot Flight Training and the members of the company who represented themselves as pilots, have no valid licence.

The CAAP also informed that SWAS was not an accredited company, and therefore it was not authorized to conduct the training. “As a result, Bareh failed to complete the training as per scheduled, thereby, Capt. Shahi and his associates cheated and threatened him (Bareh),” the complaint said.
