Meghalaya Youth League 2024: All to play for in Zone D; West Jaintia look to cement top spot in Zone B

Shillong, Aug 30: August has been the busiest month in the Meghalaya Youth League 2024, with action taking place every weekend, with tomorrow being the fifth day of the U-14 and U-16 tournament, organised by the Meghalaya Football Association, this month.

Thirteen matches are slated for around the state, with Zone A seeing its last group fixture in the U-16 category; that zone’s U-14 group stage concluded last weekend.

It will be a keenly contested day in Zone B where West Jaintia District Sports Association leads Amlarem Block Sports Association by 12 points to 10 in both age groups. Amlarem will get a rest this Saturday but will be keeping an eye on West Jaintia, who will be up against East Jaintia District Football Association.

Meanwhile, in Zone D, Nongstoin District Sports Association is the clear leader among the U-16 teams but is second in the U-14s behind Pyndengumiong District Sports Association (14 points to 13). Mawkyrwat District Sports Association is also in the hunt for 11 points.

Finally, Zone C will witness the Sohra Sports Association host the Shillong Sports Association.
