Minimum Wages revised : Meghalaya State

Shillong, May, 29, 2017:Principal Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Labour Department inform thatGovernment of Meghalaya has revisedtheMinimumWagesin respect of the Schedule of Employments w.e.f. 1stApril, 2017.

For unskilled category, theminimumwageper day w.e.f. 1stApril, 2017 has been fixed at Rs. 160.00 + 29 = Rs. 189/-. For semi-skilled category, theminimumwageper day has been fixed at Rs. 170.00 + 31 = Rs. 201/-. For skilled category, theminimumwageper day has been fixed at Rs. 180.00 + 32 = Rs. 212/- and for highly-skilled category, the minimumwageper day has been fixed at Rs. 200.00 + 35= Rs. 235.00.

Also all the variable Dearness Allowance has been rounded off to the next higher rupee.
