Shillong, Feb. 6: A multilevel car park facility developed under Shillong Smart City Limited (SSCL) was inaugurated adjacent to the Additional State Secretariat in Shillong, marking a significant step towards improving urban mobility in the city.

The newly inaugurated facility is expected to ease traffic congestion in the surrounding areas while providing much-needed parking space for government offices, visitors, and the general public.

Officials said the project aligns with the broader objectives of the Shillong Smart City mission, aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and enhancing traffic management in the state capital.

The multilevel parking facility is expected to play a crucial role in decongesting busy roads in the Secretariat area and improving overall traffic flow in Shillong.
